[Yugo sets aside the shirt for now and sits with his elbows on his knees. Because he was otherwise getting ready to leave the med tent.]

[Yuya is now forcibly keeping Yugo in the med tent with conversation.]

Before that. Why did they take you? Did they say anything when they did?

[It's not something that changes what actually happens, but... still, Yuya wants to know. Maybe there's something he could have been more alert for, or something he should have relayed to Yugo to protect him.]

[Ah yes of course Yugo was doing something stupid beforehand.]

They're better at snatching people up than Security is, I'll give them that.

[Yuya had wanted to talk to the Furies in the cages, too... but they were looking for excuses to take them. It was a risk, Yugo probably wasn't being very stealthy if they saw him.

He lets out a breath, shoulders slumping a little. Can't relate on not getting caught by Security--Yuya'd thoroughly failed to evade them.] And then what? Gongenzaka was chained in iron. I saw the cells, but what did they do you you?

Well getting stabbed with iron got rid of the animal forms we had. [Yugo gestures to another bandage on his shoulder.]

But what happened after we were pulled out of those impossibly tiny boxes was kind of a blur, since I wasn't really looking around at anything.

[Then he stares for a moment at the black spot on his chest, it's not the first time Yugo's looked at it.] ... Whatever that bear did when everything went cold and dark, it felt like for a little while I was back in the void again.

Gongenzaka said the same thing. [Yuya expression twists with worry, and he wrings his hands together.]

... You've been taken a lot with the carnival. [Kidnapped. There's no judgement from him, but it comes out softly.]

[Upon hearing that Yugo's silent, probably counting out in his head how many times it's been lately for that fact to be true.]

I guess... I have been letting that happen a lot- worrying everyone I care about half to death.

[More than enough for Yugo to clearly feel bad anyway.]

You need to be more careful. [And Yuya can say this because he hasn't been kidnapped.] Remember your contract, and Rin? I know it's hard to stay safe, the way things are, but you have to make it through this!

[Yugo can't really hold back the indignant look that comes onto his face upon being told that. Most likely out of simply pure frustration.]

Just be more careful huh? Because that's all it comes down to? Yeah I bet it's easy for you to say since nothing's happened to you as bad as getting out of Portland...!

[Yuya leans back, a little surprised at the accusation.]

That's not all it is, but it helps. [He furrows his brow, pursing his lips in a tight frown.] Aren't you worried?

[He sighs- figuring out quickly that it's not really fair on Yuya to take out his feelings on him.]

Well I... [Then a complete pause.] ... What are you expecting me to do? Stick to the sidelines?

Well... [Yuya rubs the back of his neck.] Would that be such a bad thing sometimes? You're not in the new militia, right?

[So he's not obligated, and Yugo running out into the fray seems to do him more harm than good. And Yuya's heart is heading for an early grave with always having to panic about his friends.]

[It certainly would be one less friend for Yuya to panic about. Yugo buys time to mull over his answer by being quick about yanking the shirt on he discarded and then standing.]

...The same for you then! [Since they both know by now that Gongenzaka has such an obligation.]

Just because I don't know about everything you've jumped into since, doesn't mean that I can't sometimes get worried about you too...!

W-well--[The problem with that is that Gongenzaka's obligation is now Yuya's obligation by virtue of making shitty promises. He glances aside awkward.] It's like you said, I haven't been kidnapped or--or really hurt that badly. I'm strong enough to deal with this! And I'm a diplomat, so I have to be involved in whatever we're doing, in case I have to--wait, where are you going?

What, you thought I was just gonna sit in here all day? I've had worse.

[He's not wrong there, considering that Yugo died once before thanks to being prey for a certain hunt... Hard-headed stubbornness aside.]

And right now I feel fine. Enough to make room for whoever else needs it.

You were chained up with iron. [Worse doesn't change 'still really bad'. They're lucky most of them didn't walk away much worse than they did.

He moves to stand as well, seeing as part of the reason he was visiting is now flouncing out the door.]

[However, just because he's walking out doesn't mean Yugo's leaving Yuya behind entirely. Just in case the guy isn't actually done with him yet or something.

So he waits right outside for the other.]
